    Suzy's Snickerdoodles

These are my kids favorite cookies, I know they are pretty original but maybe your kids will love them too!

    Suzy’s Snickerdoodles

    ½ Cup of Shortening
    ½ Cup of Butter

    1 ½ Cups Sugar
    2 Eggs
    2 tsp. Vanilla extract

    2 ¾ Cups of Flour
    1 tsp. Baking Soda
    ½ tsp. Salt
    2 tsp. Cream of Tartar

    1/2 cup Sugar
    2 Tablespoons Cinnamon

    1. Cream shortening and butter together, gradually add 1 ½ cups of sugar beating well, add eggs beat well and stir in vanilla.

    2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar in a mixing bowl and then add to creamed mixture, mix well.

    3. Mix the 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 Tablespoons of cinnamon together in a ziplock bag.

    4. Shape dough into balls the size of walnuts and put into the ziplock bag to coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake at 400 for 8 minutes. Let them sit for about 2 minutes before removing. Yield: 2 ½ dozen cookies.
