Recipe Introduction
Just something I threw together just to see how it would taste.
List of Ingredients
1/2 pound fresh broccoli, broken into florets
1 cups sliced zucchini
1-1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 large carrots, medium sliced
1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 Tablespoons all-purposed flour
1 pack saz'on vegetable seasoning
2 packs saz'on seasoning
2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly grounded black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 cups milk
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Recipe
1- In large skillet, saute the broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms and carrot in oil until tender (do not over cook) Remove from the heat.
2- Cook spaghetti according to directions. *In another saucepan, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in the flour, thyme, seasonings, onion powder and pepper until blended.
3-**Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
4- Reduce heat to low; stir in cheeses until melted. Add the vegetables; heat through. Drain spaghetti; toss with vegetables mixture. (Adjust seasonings, if necessary)
Yield: 4 servings
NOTE: Since I'm a seafood lover, I added a pound of large shrimp. *I sauteed the shrimp with the onion and garlic, added a little more butter. **Stir in shrimp after milk and seasonings.
You can also use your favorite pasta. It doesn't have to be spaghetti.
