    ~Penne Pasta w/Smoked Sausage & Spinach~

    Recipe Introduction

    Just something I put together on the spur of the moment.

    List of Ingredients

    1 pack Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage (cut into 1/4 inch slices) or bigger

    8 ounces of penne pasta

    2 bunchs of fresh baby spinach (washed and dried)

    3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)

    1 large onion ( 1/2 inch slices cut in fourths)

    2 shallots chopped

    1 teaspoon oregano

    1 teaspoon cilantro

    2 teaspoons onion powder

    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

    1 teaspoon ground black pepper

    1 pack Goya Vegetable Seasoning

    2 packs Goya Sazo'n Seasoning

    oil or margarine for sauteing



    Recipe

    1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Set aside.

    2. Saute sausage and drain (reserve oil)

    3. Saute garlic, onions, shallots and spinach in reserve oil....or you can use margarine or olive oil. I used the oil from the sausage.

    4. Add pasta and seasonings and toss well. You might need to add extra margarine or olive oil to coat pasta. Adjust seasoning to your taste. Serve with toasted garlic bread.
