    Recipe Introduction

If you like granola bars, especially chewy
granola, then this is for you!!! I got this from the quaker oat website.

    List of Ingredients

    • 3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 c granulated sugar
    • one 8 oz container of vanilla or plain low-fat yogurt
    • 2 egg whites
    • 2Tbs of oil
    • 2 Tbs of milk
    • 2tsp. vanilla
    • 1 1/2 c flour
    • 1tsp. baking soda
    • 1tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) - I didn';t use any
    • 3 c oats (quick or old fashioned uncooked)
    • 1 c diced dried fruit of your choosing - I used almost 2 cups or more, one didn't look like enough fruit.

    Instructions

    1. Heat oven to 350. combine sugars, yogurt, eggwhites, oil, milk, and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt with yogurt mix. Mix
well. Stir in oats and fruit.
    2. Spread mixture onto bottom of ungreased 9x13 baking pan.

    3. Bake 28-32 minutes or until light golden brown. Completely cool on wire rack, cut into bars. Store tightly covered. (I kept ours in the pan I baked it
in, and it kept just fine with saran wrap over it)
    4. Makes 2 dozen.
