1 1/2 pound uncooked lean ground beef (with 7% fat)
2 medium onion(s)
1 clove garlic clove(s)
15 oz canned tomato sauce
14 1/2 oz canned tomatoes
2 cup water
1 cup uncooked brown rice
4 cup cabbage, all varieties
1 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Recipe
Brown beef, onions and garlic. Add sauce, tomatoes and water. Bring to boil and add brown rice. Cover and cook for 40 min. Place 2/3 of shredded cabbage in sprayed 13 x 9 Pour 1/2 of meat/rice mixture and then repeat cabbage and remainder of meat. Cover and bake at 350 for 1hr. You can omit cooking meat mixture and bake for 90-100 min untill rice done and liquid absorbed.
