    Old Fashion Mincemeat Cookies

    3-1/4 cups sifted flour
    1/2-teaspoon salt
    1-teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup shortening
    1-1/2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    1 package (9 ounce) mincemeat(comes in dry block form)
    1/2 cup chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Cream shortening and add sugar gradually, creaming together until fluffy. Add eggs and beat until smooth.
    Add mincemeat broken into small pieces.
    Add flour and mix well. Add nuts and drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in 375- degree oven about 10-12 minutes.
    Makes about five dozen cookies.
