    Chinese Soup

    Source of Recipe

    Marilyn/Roma

    List of Ingredients

    2 - 14-1/2 oz cans chicken broth.
(can use sodium or fat free for
lower salt etc, but I use the
    real stuff)
    2 cloves garlic, minced

1 fresh green or red jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced.

16 to 18 frozen pork or chicken pot stickers (I get the big bags at Costco)
1-1/2 cups (I use more) fresh spinach torn up.

Hot chili/sesame oil (optional, but we like)

    Recipe

In a medium saucepan, simmer chicken broth with garlic and pepper over low heat for 5 minutes. Add frozen pot stickers & simmer an additional 5 minutes. Add spinach and simmer just until wilted but still bright green.

serve hot, with chili oil on the table for those who prefer it. (I put a few drops in while it's cooking because we like the flavor.)

Note: Pot stickers come in various sizes and packages. I use both Coscto Panda brand and Trader Joes frozen Pork Gyoza Pot Stickers. There are abut 24 to 26 per 1 pound package. I keep the in teh freezer because they will stay good forever...and I make this soup a lot! Trust me, if you like Chinese stuff, you'll like this a lot
