    Dutch Apple Topped Bread

    List of Ingredients

    3/4 cup butter/margarine
    3 cups flour
    3 tablespoons sour cream
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    3 cups chopped tart apples
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup hickory nuts, or wall nuts

    Recipe

    Mix butter and sugar together. Add eggs and cream. Sift baking soda, salt and flour together and add to the sugar mixture. Fold in apples and nuts. Fill greased bread pans with apple mixture.

    Dutch Apple topping:
    4 tablespoons brown sugar
    4 tablespoons butter/margarine
    4 tablespoons flour
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Mix all ingredients and spread on top of apple bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
