    Cherry Cream Cheese Danish

    List of Ingredients




    1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 cup sugar
    2 Tablespoons flour
    2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
    1 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 8 oz. pkg. crescent roll dough
    3/4 of a 21 oz. can cherry pie filling
    1 egg, slightly beaten with 1 Tablespoon water
    1/4 cup sliced almonds

    Recipe



    Stir together cheese, sugar, flour, lemon rind, lemon juice and vanilla.

    Unroll 1 package of crescent roll dough and separate into four rectangles. Cut each rectangle in half to make two squares from each rectangle. Press together perforations. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the filling diagonally onto center of square. Top with 1 Tablespoon of the pie filling.

    You'll have to stretch the two opposite corners to lengthen the dough to close over like a triangle then fold the remaining flaps over to the center overlapping them. Brush with the egg mixture and sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
