    Eggs in Buttercups

    List of Ingredients




    12 slices fresh white bread
    melted butter or margarine
    8 eggs
    2 teaspoons salt
    1 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 cup heavy cream

    Recipe



    Trim crusts from bread. Press slices into muffin-pan cups, brush with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

    Beat eggs till fluffy; add salt, pepper, cream and bacon. Pour into greased skillet or double boiler. Cook over low heat till set, lifting occasionally with spatula to let uncooked portion run underneath. Spoon into toast cups. Serve immediately.

    Garnish with additional bacon. Makes 6 servings.
