Opal's Swiss Steak
List of Ingredients
2 pounds round steak
shortenung for browning
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups tomato sauce Recipe
Brown steak in a large skillit using a small amount of shortening. Add green pepper and onion and season with salt and pepper. Pour enough sauce over steak to cover it. Reduce heat to simmer, cover container, and cook slowly for 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
