    Crusty Bread Machine Bread Bowls

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup water
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 3/4 cups bread flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
    Topping:
    1 egg yolk
    1 tablespoon water

    Recipe



    Measure carefully and put all ingredients into pan in order specified by manufacturer. Select dough/manuel cycle. When done remove from pan using lightly floured hands. Cover and let rise 10 minutes on lightly floured surface. Grease outside of six 10 ounce custard cups. Place cups upside down on ungreased cookie sheet. Divide dough into 6 equal pieces. Pat or roll each into a 7 inch circle on lightly floured surface. Shape dough circles over outside of cups. Do not let dough curl under edges of cups. Cover and let rise in warm place for 15 to 20 minutes or till slightly puffy. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together egg yolk and water. Brush over bread bowls. Bake 18 to 22 minutes or till golden brown. Carefully lift off bowls. Cool upright on wire rack. Makes 6.
