Tomato Bread
List of Ingredients
This is a wet dough and it looks like it might not turn out right, but it does.
1 cup tomato juice
1/3 cup chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
2 tablespoon sliced green onion
1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
3 cup bread flour
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed dried basil
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
2 cloves diced then crushed garlic
1 teaspoon regular active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
Recipe
Put in bread pan in order given and bake on white bread cycle. If you wish to bake it in the oven put it on a cookie sheet and brush on a mixture of: 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon milk. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till hollow when thumped. Makes 1-1 1/2 pound loaf
