    Rich Chocolate Brownies

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup butter/margarine, melted
    1/2 cup flour
    1/3 cup cocoa
    1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Frosting:
    3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
    3 tablespoons cocoa
    2 tablespoon warm water
    1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
    1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

    Recipe



    In a mixing bowl, beat sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add butter; mix well. Pour into a greased 8 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till brownies test done with a toothpick. Cool in pan on a wire rack.

    For frosting; combine butter, cocoa, water and coffee; mix well. Gradually stir in sugar till smooth, adding additional warm water if necessary to acheive a spreading consistaency. Frost the brownies, when cool. Yield: 12-16 brownies.
