Cheesecake Squares

Serves: 9 to 12
1 container (16 ounces) cottage cheese
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar, divided
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract Recipe
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a blender, blend the cottage cheese until smooth; pour into a large bowl. Add the cream cheese and 3/4 cup of the sugar, and beat until well-blended. Add the eggs, beating until well-mixed. Pour into an 8-inch square baking dish and bake for 45 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the sour cream, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and the vanilla; mix well. Remove the cake from the oven and spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the top. Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool, then cut into squares.
