Plain Butter Frosting
List of Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
3 tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon light Karo Syrup Recipe
Cream butter with on medium speed untl fluffy and creamy. Add Karo, then add confectioners' sugar and cream alternately, while continuing to beat. Add vanilla and beat for 5 minutes. Makes enough to frost a 9-inch layer cake cut in halves. To fill and frost two 8-inch cakes double this recipe.
