    Pastel Marshmallows- Jell-O

    List of Ingredients




    Makes about 5 dozen

    1 (3oz.) package of Jell-O gelatin, any flavor
    1/2 cup boiling water
    3/4 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons light corn syrup
    Powdered sugar

    Recipe



    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in saucepan over very low heat. Add sugar. Cook and stir just until sugar is dissolved, do not boil. Blend in corn syrup. Chill until slightly thickened. With an electric mixer, beat on highest speed, until mixture is thickened and will stand in soft peaks, 8 to 10 minutes. Pour into a 9 inch square pan that has been lined on sides and bottom with waxed paper greased with butter or margarine. Chill overnight. Turn mixture out onto a board heavily dusted with powdered sugar. Carefully peel off waxed paper and dust surfaces heavily with sugar. Cut into shapes, using small cookie cutters dipped in sugar. Roll cut edges in sugar. Store in airtight container.

    To make shapes;
    Using a baking pan, 13x 9x 2, spoon in enough flour or cornstarch to a depth of 1 1/2 inches, or desired depth. Using the back of a spoon or cookie cutter or object of desired mold make impressions in flour, pour marshmallow when luke warm into impressions, let stand until set. You can also dip your shapes or squares in chocolate after they have set up.
