Butter-Crumb Cut-Outs
List of Ingredients
2 cups corn flakes cereal, crushed to 1/2 cup
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milkRecipe
Stir together corn flakes, flour, baking powder and slat. Set aside. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and milk. Mix well. Add flour mixture, mixing thoroughly. Chill. Roll chilled dough out on lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. Decorate with icing, coconut and decorative candies if desired. Yield: about 7 dozen cookies.
