    Hot Diggity Dog Cookies

    These are for human consumption and are so good they'll make you howl!

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 cup softened butter
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup light brown sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1 3/4 cups flour
    3/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    red food coloring, sesame seeds, white and green gumdrops, yellow tube frosting, red tube frosting

    Recipe



    Combine butter, the sugars, and egg yolk in medium bowl till smooth. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

    Use one third of the dough to shape "hot dogs"; mix with a few drops of red food coloring till color resembles a hot dog, shape into 12 hot dogs. Use remaining dough to shape into "buns". Dip in sesame seeds.

    Place buns on cookie sheet about 3-inches apart. Put hot dogs into buns. Freeze 20 minutes.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 17-29 minutes or till light, golden brown. Cool completely on cookie sheets.

    Top dogs with a line of yellow frosting to resemble mustard then red frosting for ketchup. Cut up pieces of white and green gumdrops for onions and pickle relish. Arrange on top of hot dogs. Makes one dozen.
