    Starlight Mint Surprise Cookies

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
    2 eggs
    2 tablespoons water
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 (6 unce) packages solid chocolate mint candy wafers, unwrapped
    60 walnuts

    Recipe



    In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, margarine, eggs, water and vanilla; mix well. Stir in flour, soda and salt; mix well. Chill dough at least 2 hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Enclose each wafer completely in about 1 tablespoonful of dough; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Top each with walnut half. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes or till light golden brown. 5 dozen cookies.
