    Bananas Foster

    List of Ingredients




    4 ripe bananas
    1/3 cup margarine or butter
    2/3 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup light rum
    vanilla ice cream

    Recipe



    Peel bananas; halve crosswise, then legthwise. In a large skillet or the blazer pan of a chafing dish melt buttter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar. Add bananas. Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes or till heated through. In a small saucepan heat rum till it almost simmers. (If desired, pour heated rum into a large ladle.) Carefully ignite rum and pour over bananas. Serve immediately over ice cream. Serves 4.
