    Angel Wings

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup crisco
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    Cream sugars, butter, shortening, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Spoon flour into measuring cup. Level off, pour flour onto wax paper.

    Add cream of tartar, baking soda and salt to flour, stirring by hand to blend. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; mix well.

    Shape dough into 1" balls; dip top half into water. Dip ball into additional sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press down center with pencil or small wooden dowel to make the separation like wings. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
