List of Ingredients

2 baked 8- or 9-inch round cakes
5 to 6 cups yellow frosting
Black shoestring licorice
2 mint patties


Recipe

Frost this retro cake bright yellow, add a licorice smile, and your party guests will be feeling groovy.

Layer and frost the cakes. Make the sunglasses out of two mint patties and licorice, then add a big licorice smile.

TIP: For vibrant colored icing, use paste food colors, which are available at party-supply stores. Keep in mind that a little paste gives a lot of color.
