Creamed Cottage Cheese Pie
List of Ingredients
1-9 inch pastry shell-unbaked
1 1/2 cups creamed(small-curd) cottage cheese
4 tablespoons melted butter/margarerine
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon flour
grated zest of 1 lemon
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup milkRecipe
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Separate the eggs. Press the cheese through a sieve 2 times. Add the butter, sugar, salt, flour, lemon zest, unbeaten egg yolks, chopped nuts and milk. Stir well. Beat the egg whites till stiff peaks form. Fold the egg whites into the cream cheese mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until browned and firm. Makes 1-9 inch pie
