    Grilled Ham Kebabs

    List of Ingredients




    Yields: 5 skewers
    Five 12-inch wooden skewers
    3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    1/4 cup sesame oil
    3 tablespoons light soy sauce
    2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon yellow mustard
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    2 teaspoons ground ginger
    1 fully cooked ham steak (1 pound), cut into 1-inch chunks
    1 can (8 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained

    Soak the skewers in water for 15 minutes. In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, combine all the ingredients except the ham and pineapple; mix well. Alternately thread the ham and pineapple chunks onto the skewers, then place in the baking dish, turning to coat completely with the marinade. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours, turning the skewers every 30 minutes. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the kebabs for 5 to 8 minutes, or until heated through, turning to brown on all sides.
