    Pork Chow Mein

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound pork blade or arm steak, cut into thin strips
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    2 cups beef broth
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 cup thin sliced celery
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained (reserve 1/4 cup liquid)
    3 tablespoons cornstarch
    1 can (16 ounces) Chinese vegetables, drained
    1 tablespoon brown gravy sauce
    3 cups chow mein noodles

    Recipe



    Cook and stir pork in oil in 10 inch skillet over medium heat till brown. Stir in broth, soy sauce, celery and onion. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Shake reserved mushroom liquid and the cornstarch in tightly covered container; gradually stir into pork mixture. Add mushrooms, chinese vegetables and gravy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over chinese noodles. Makes 5 servings.
