    Sausage-Saurekraut Skillet Dinner

    List of Ingredients




    1 medium onion, sliced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1 cup sliced carrots
    1 cup water
    2 teaspoons instant beef bouillon granules
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 teaspoon caraway seed
    1-16 ounce can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
    1 pound precooked polish sausage, cut into 5 pieces
    2 teaspoons flour
    1 cup sour cream
    parsley

    Recipe



    In a 12 inch skillet cook onion and garlic in butter or margarine till tender but not brown. Stir in potatoes, carrots, water, bouillon, sugar and caraway seed. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes or till vegetables are tender. Place sauerkraut and sausages atop vegetables. Cover and cook 15 minutes or till sausage is plump. Season to taste. Garnish with parsley. Serves 5.
