    Baked Potatoes with Cheddar-Beer Topping

    List of Ingredients




    2 large baking potatoes
    2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    1/2 clove garlic, minced
    2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
    2 tablespoons flour
    1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    1 cup beer
    1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese
    4 slices bacon

    Recipe



    Bake potatoes and cut lengthwise then across. Squeeze gently to fluff out center. While potatoes are baking, making sauce. In small saucepan, melt butter. Add garlic and onion and saute, stirring till limp. Stir in flour smoothly. Blend in Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard. Gradually add beer till blended;cook, stirring till sauce comes to a boil. Gradually add cheese, stirring over medium heat till cheese melts. In skillet fry bacon. Pour hot sauce over each baked potato. Garnish with crisp bacon bits. Makes 2 servings.
