    Chicken Puff Bake

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup margarine or butter
    1/4 cup bisquick
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/4 cups milk
    1-10 3/4 ounce can chicken broth
    2 cups cut-up cooked chicken
    1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 jar(2 ounces) diced pimentoes, drained
    1-10 ounce frozen mixed vegetables(thawed and drained)

    Heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease 9x13x2 inch baking dish. Heat margarine in saucepan over low heat till melted. Stir in baking mix, salt and pepper till bubbly. Stir in milk and broth. Heat to boiling, stirring. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients except topping. Spread with topping. Bake till golden, about 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Serves 6.

    Topping: Beat 3 egg whites till soft peaks form. Beat 3 egg yolks till thick. Mix 1/2 cup bisquick and 1/2 teaspoon each salt,and paprika; beat into yolks alternately with 1/2 cup milk and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Fold in egg whites.
