Choco-Oat Chip Coookies

2 sticks margarine or butter, softened
1 1/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 C. granulated sugar
2 Tbs. milk
2 tsp.vanilla
2 eggs
1 3/4 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. salt (optional)
2 1/2 C. Quaker® Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
2 C. (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 C. chopped nuts (optional)
Recipe
Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Add oats, chocolate chips and nuts, mix well. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.
Serving Tips: BAR COOKIES: Press dough onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Store tightly covered. 32 BARS
