Two cups flour
One quarter teaspoon salt
Two teaspoons baking soda
One teaspoon cinnamon
One teaspoon ginger
Three quarter cup butter
One cup sugar
One quarter cup molasses
One egg, beaten

Recipe
Sift the dry ingredients together. Cream the butter and one cup sugar in a mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in the molasses and egg. Add the flour mixture gradually, beating well after each addition. Chill. Preheat oven to three hundred twenty five degrees. Shape into small balls and roll in sugar. Place on a non-stick cookie sheet. Bake for fifteen minutes. Yield: approximately four and a half dozen.
