    Onion Bread

    Contributed by my sister and neice to the GEHS Blazer Booster Cookbook.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
    • 1 cup milk
    • 3 Tbsp. sugar
    • 1 and 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    • 3/4 cup warm water
    • 2 pkg. active dry yeast
    • 4 cups flour


    Instructions


    1. Heat milk to very warm. Mix milk, sugar and butter in large mixing bowl.
    2. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add yeast mixture to milk mixture.
    3. Stir in soup mix,then blend in flour.Blend for 2 minutes.Cover bowl and keep in warm place until dough doubles in size.
    4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Stir down the dough and beat vigorously for 1/2 minute.
    5. Bake uncovered,1 hour in a greased round casserole dish.
