    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe never fails.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 and 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
    • 1 and 1/2 sugar
    • 6 ounces undiluted evaporated milk
    • 1/2 stick margarine
    • 12 ounce package chocolate chips
    • 1 teaspoon real vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Place marshmallows, milk, sugar and margarine in a heavy 3 quart saucepan.
    2. Bring to boil over medium heat.
    3. Stir constantly for 5-6 minutes.Turn off heat.
    4. Add chocolate chips and vanilla and beat until chips are melted and mixture begins to hold shape.
    5. Pour and spread quickly into a well buttered 9x9" pan.
    6. Allow to cool completely and cut into squares. Store in a covered container in a cool place.


    Final Comments


    12 ounces of peanut butter chips may be substituted for chocolate chips for peanut butter fudge. Substitute 12 ounces of white chips and add 1/2 cup of dried cherries and 1/2 cup of nuts for cherry nut fudge. A few drops of peppermint oil may be added to chocolate for chocolate-mint fudge.
