German Chocolate Sour Cream Cake

- 1 package Pillsbury Plus German Chocolate cake mix
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream, divided
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 can Pillsbury Coconut Almond Creamy Supreme Frosting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 (9 or 8") round cake pans.
- In large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 cup sour cream, water, oil and eggs and low speed until moistened; beat at highest speed 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake 35-45 minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool cakes in pans 15 minutes. Invert onto wire racks to cool completely.
- For frosting, combine frosting and remaining sour cream. Beat at medium speed until smooth and creamy. Frost cake; store, covered, in refrigerator.
