Caramel Chex Cereal
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 cup honey-roasted peanuts
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter--do not use spread or tub products
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°. Mix cereals, popcorn, pretzels and peanuts in large bowl; set aside.
- Heat brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine to boiling in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture in bowl, stirring until evenly coated.
- Spread in large ungreased roasting pan. Bake 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
