Anzac Cookies
List of Ingredients
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon very hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Blend together the first 5 ingredients. Add the melted butter.
- Combine the remaining ingredients then stir into the flour mixture.
- Form dough into 12 balls and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly.
- Bake at 325 degrees F. for 10 to 11 minutes. Cool 5 minutes in pan then completely on wire rack.
