    List of Ingredients


    • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
    • 2 teaspoons butter
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 8 cups frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed (about 1 pound)
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 4 ounces 33%-less-sodium ham, diced
    • 3/4 cup (3 ounces) reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil and butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook 5 minutes. Add bell pepper and garlic; cook 3 minutes. Add potatoes, salt, pepper, and ham; cook16 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown, stirring occasionally. Top with cheese; cook 2 minutes or until cheese melts.
