Asian Slaw

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rice wine or white wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons salad oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon 5-spice powder
- 1/2 package (16 ounces) shredded cole slaw mix (4 cups)
- 1 large cucumber, peeled and chopped
- 1 medium apple, coarsely shredded
- 3 tablespoons cilantro leaves
Instructions
- For dressing: Combine rice or white wine vinegar, soy, water, salad oil, sugar, ginger, and 5-spice powder in a screw-top jar. Cover and shake till combined. Divide mixture in half. Cover and refrigerate half the dressing (1/2 cup) for Warm Chicken Noodle Salad (see recipe).
- Combine cole slaw mix, cucumber, apple and cilantro in a large bowl. Shake dressing again; drizzle over cole slaw.
