    • 2/3 cup oil
    • 2/3 cup flour


    Instructions


    1. Combine in a deep bowl, stirring well. Microwave, uncovered, at high power for 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes. Stir well.
    2. Continue to microwave, uncovered, at high power, until roux is the color of a copper penny, stirring every 30 seconds.
