Sour Cream Potato Soup




List of Ingredients



• 3 cups diced raw potatoes
  
• 1/2 cup chopped celery
  
• 1/2 cup onion -- chopped
  
• 1 cup water
  
• 2 cups chicken broth
  
• 2 cups milk -- scalded
  
• 3 tablespoons butter
  
• 1 cup sour cream
  
• 1 tablespoon flour
  
• salt and pepper -- to taste
  






Instructions



1. Combine the water and broth and in it cook the potatoes, celery and onion in a covered pan until very tender. Do not drain. Press it through a sieve.
   
   
2. Add milk and butter. Mix sour cream with flour until smooth. Add to soup, and cook stirring constantly, until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
   
   
3. Serves 6
