Simple Cheese Orzo

- 1/2 pound orzo (1 1/3 cups)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- ground black pepper
Instructions
- Bring 1 quart (exactly) of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the salt and the orzo. Boil until orzo is tender and has absorbed the cooking liquid, 8 to 9 minutes. Stir in the oil, Parmesan, and pepper to taste.
