Country Kitchen Peas

List of Ingredients
- 1 (1 pound) can tiny French peas
- 1 (3 ounce) can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 cups lettuce, shreded
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Drain peas and reserve liquid.
- Heat oil in medium saucepan, add flour, mix well to make a smooth sauce. Add 1/3 cup bean liquid. Add lettuce and cook 2 minutes or until lettuce wilts.
- Add peas, water chestnuts and seasonings. Heat throughly, about 5 minutes, covered. Sprinkle with parsley.
