    Gingered Broccoli

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 head broccoli
    • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger root
    • 2 garlic cloves, sliced
    • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce or sugar
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce


    Instructions


    1. Slice off and discard tough base of broccoli stems and cut the broccoli into spears.

    2. Combine ginger, garlic, vinegar, hoisin (or sugar) and soy in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Ease in the broccoli and steam for 5-7 minutes, until tender but still brightly colored. Serve immediately with some sauce spooned over.
