Spicy Chickpeas

List of Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black peppercorns
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Instructions
- In a large skillet heat the oil. Add the onion and cook over med-high heat, stirring until lightly browned, about 5 min. Add the coriander, cumin, cayenne, and turmeric and cook stirring, about 1 min. Add the chickpeas, pepper, and salt and cook until warmed through. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and cilantro. Transfer to a bowl and serve warm or at room temperature.
