List of Ingredients
1.5 lbs of ground meat (I use mixture of veal, pork & beef)
1 large onion - diced
2-3 cloves of garlic or 1 tsp minced
1 cup of breadcrumbs
1 to 2 eggs
1 handful baby carrots (finely chopped in food processor)
Worcestershire sauce (about 1/3 cup, several shakes)
Ketchup (1/2 to 3/4 cup….lots of squirts)
Parsley, salt & pepper to taste
Milk (enough to make it moist & sticky)
Recipe
Sautee carrots, onion and garlic in a little oil.
Throw everything together, take off your rings and mix with your hands. Put in baking dish sprayed with Pam, bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
Serve with your favorite brown gravy. I use the Heinz brown with onions or beef flavors. I wouldn't make the gravy from the drippings, not enough and too fatty.
Note - I adjust the quantities accordingly if I'm making for a larger group. I used about 2.3 lbs of meat to serve 10, only a small portion leftover.
