EMPRESS CINCINNATI CHILI

List of Ingredients
2 lbs. lean ground beef
4 med. onions - chopped fine
2 cloves garlic - minced
2 (8-oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar
1/4 tsp. ground red (cayenne) pepper
4 sm. whole dried chili peppers
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 T. chili powder
8 c. water
2 dash Worcestershire Sauce
5-6 whole bay leaves
2 tsp. salt *NOT opt.
1 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
thick pasta noodles
finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
medium diced onions
Recipe
DO NOT BROWN ground beef. Break up ground beef with hands or forks and place
beef
and all other ingredients in a large soup pan and bring to a boil, continuing to
break apart
the ground beef as it cooks. It should be crumbly and not chunky. Simmer for
several (4)
hours until the liquid is reduced and consistency is thick. Top the thick
spaghetti noodles
with: chili, cheese, onions and kidney beans. Serves 6. *Freezes well.
