2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon active dry yeast

With WOODEN Spoon, mix all ingredients until smooth. Set in a warm place (85 degrees) away from drafts. Stir several times a day for 4 days. Starter will be ready to use. Be sure to save at least 1/2 cup of your starter each time you use it so that you can replenish it. To replenish the starter, add equal parts flour and warm waterand leave at room temp. for 24 hours. Store in refrigerator.
Starter should be used at least once a week, if not it needs to be replenished. by adding 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cupp water to one cup of starter..Let stand overnight at room temp...in the morning stir and return to refrigerator.
