    Pie pastry dough
    1/2 cup pepper jelly
    1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
    1 egg beaten
    1 Tbs. water





    Oven set at 425.

    Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface. Using a round cookie or the lip of a glass, cut out 20 circles.

    Fill each circle with 1 Tsp. of jelly and a pinch of cheese. Fold the circle over to create a 1/2 moon. Seal the edges with fork prongs.

    Combine the egg with the water. and brush over each turnover with some of the mixture.

    Bake till golden brown about 20-25 mins.

    Try cream cheese instead of cheddar cheese. Sounds good both ways!
