2 c boiling water
2 pkgs. yeast
2 tsp salt
2 well beaten eggs
1/2 c butter, plus 2 Tbs
1/2 c sugar
1/4 tsp ginger
1 c milk
7 1/2 - 8 cups flour
In a large bowl, combine butter and boiling water. Mix until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. Add sugar and yeast. When bubbles of yeast comes to the top, add milk, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of the flour. Beat until smooth. Add remaining flour. Mix well. Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth and elastic. Place dough in a buttered bowl. Cover, let rise until double in size. Punch down. Let rise second time. Punch down, shape into loaves or rolls. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 350 until nice and brown. Turn out of pans immediately. Cool on wire racks. Freezes great.Recipe
