    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    2/3 cup cocoa
    3 cups powdered sugar
    1/3 cup milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Melt butter and stir in cocoa. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk and beating until of spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla. Additional milk may be added if needed.
